Suvereto is the home of a delicious cuisine whose traditions have been handed down from generation to generation. Excellent flavor-rich vegetables, such as violet artichokes and spinach, cheeses, mushrooms, and meats are the basic ingredients of the dishes for which this region is famous: vegetable soups, fresh filled pastas, "tortelli", and wild boar cooked according to ancient recipes are some examples.

An important stretch of the Costa degli Etruschi Wine Route - the Suvereto sub region of the Val di Coma DOC region - winds its way through countryside rich with agricultural traditions, among cork, oak and ilex woods and Mediterranean scrub.

Ever-better known and appreciated wines are made here by blending the traditional grapes of this region, such as Sangiovese, with Cabernet and Merlot to create a fusion of tradition and innovation. Suvereto is an important stop
